October Fashion Advice

Fall is finally here!

Don't you just love walking in crisp autumn leaves
and hearing them crunch underfoot?

But wait . . . why are you wearing those hideous boots?

Fer eff's sake, this is Halloween month.
Wear something suitably stylish and festive
for your leaf crunching activities!

Like these delightful candy corn sneakers, for instance --

Or these oh-so-stylish witch shoes --

Feeling more batty than witchy?

Maybe high tops are more your style.

You could probably fly in these!

If you're more of an elegant, girly-girl type,
how about this pair?

Get these for your favourite drag queen!

Maybe you just want to show off
your gnarly old zombie toes instead?

Put a smile on your feet!
These shoes will just chew up the miles!

Happy trails!

Autumn has yet to arrive here, there is hardly any gold on the leaves at the moment, but when it does I think that I shall have to be unfashionable and go for the boots - hideous or not.

These are great! I'd fall over if I tried to walk in those high-heels. Never could walk in those things.

Oohhh the high tops are awesome! I’ve had some Converse Chucks for YEARS and I never tire of them.
Now, the witchy shoes? I’d love to wear those!

Sigh - I love these shoes. But with my bad feet, I am stuck in Birkenstocks and hiking boots not unlike the first picture. I would appreciate any and all advice on great supportive shoes that are stylish but won't get my plantar fasciitis all flared up again.

On my Pinterest page one of my pages is shoes. I am a shoe whore. I love shoes. I have nearly 50 pairs of shoes that I can't wear anymore. David is the same way with his sneakers. I wonder if it has to do with being a Libra. Because we both are Libras. Hmmmmm. Something to look into. I'm stealing the spider web shoes for my Pinterest.

I'll take the glitter spider web shoes. Now I just need something to go with it.

I am ordering the candy corn pair. I like simplicity.
There was a time when only white tennis shoes were available. Somebody odd might find another type but those people were odd balls.
Today you can't find a simple pair of white tennies. I guess I'm an odd ball for even looking. No guessing about that. I love being an odd ball!

No autumn leaves to crunch through here but I love all the Halloween shoe choices.

Those are awesome! I love the witch shoes with the inlaid moon and stars (but aren't witches shoes supposed to be round-toed?) I will confess that the gnarly toes made me say, 'Eww!'

All of these made me smile ~ thanks for the grins!

My shoes only change once a year.

Those zombie slippers are supercrazy!

Hello Debra, These are great. I like them all, but the zombie toes and tooth-edged ones are my favorites. The toothed one remind me of the Czech animator Jan Svankmajer, who often featured shoes whose soles opened to reveal teeth and tongues.

The candy corn sneakers are great, but those toothy men's shoes are gonna haunt my nightmares!

Fun Fact: in some parts, candy corn are known as "witch's toenails"....

For Lady M -- nothing beats custom made orthotic inserts, but VIONIC shoes and sandals come close! Vionic brand is sold in the U.S. and Canada, and offer attractive styles for all genders! On-line, try TSC.ca or QVC.

I love them. So fun. And that teeny bat fabric. I own that fabric. What fun Debra. Happy Halloween and boogie boogie.

Would I feel I had to floss the teeth boots and how long would it take me? I'm already rather busy...

I NEED that last pair. That’s what I call style with teeth! But t I have to admit it like those first boots too. AND the boots with wings!

Oh my gosh...the teeth shoes are super creepy. ;)

I need the boots!!
So cute!!

Oh those witch shoes...... who ever designed them...... I mean our feet are not pointed like that, then why such shoes.

OMG I need to wear the teeth shoes to the dentist on Monday lol...I love those witchy shoes and boots, especially the spider webs!!!

Rommy said...

I love the moon and stars shoes, but I'd probably stick to the batty boots for comfort. :D

Love the witch shoes. The boots are more like me. I’m going to the Dentist next week. Can I borrow those teeth shoes? Great selection. Enjoy your weekend

Oh what fun, Debra! I'll take the bat boots, please!!! Sigh ~ I'll never be an elegant girly-girl. I will forever be a tomboy. When I was in Vegas earlier this week, I watched my favorite Fremont Street band several evenings: Rock Steady LV. The lead singer is Canadian, from Manitoba I think. They performed an awesome rendition of Loverboy's "Turn Me Loose." That's me. That's why I want the bat boots ~ I want to fly!!! Happy autumn!

Bea said...

For some reason, I am reminded of my few pairs of Creepers I used to wear back in the late 80s when I thought I was cool. Also, I dig anything with bats on them.

each one as better than the previous.

Such fun shoes, and with my shoe addiction, you've given me some great reasons to hunt for lots of outrageous ones to add to my closet. Really, really love these!!! Hugs, RO

Liz Hinds said...

Love the least ones! Can you imagine the looks you'd get? But for me, the first corn sneakers. I'm not a batty or witchy person.

John M said...

This is such a fun collection of shoes.

CraveCute said...

Those are all marvelous!

mshatch said...

I'll take the olive green boots first pictured; they look practical and comfortable. Plus, I'm pretty sure I don't have the high heels gene ;)

Susan Kane said...

These shoes are incredible, but not for me. I am more the clumpy with thick soles.

Janie Junebug said...

Those are some interesting shoes. It's still sandal weather here.

Love,
Janie

Oh for Heavens sake; now I can't decide what to wear!!! What a delightful post. I think I may just make a comeback...

I do love the low top bats. We have bats under our bridges that cross the bayou. There are places near there to watch the bats come out in the evenings.

Nearly spit my tea out when I saw those those winged boots ... hahaha I could see plenty of people in my neck of NYC walking around with those! But I HAVE to ask ... who walks into a store and sees a pair of shoes rimmed with teeth and says 'O. M. G. I have to have those!' ?

Martha said...

So cool! I'd actually wear some of these :)

The Captain said...

Love the high tops, I have some orange converse similar but without a design.
